Staff at the Stonegate Group are in high spirits after their fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association hit £250,000.
The Stonegate team reached the epic total through a variety of creative, and often challenging, fundraising activities, which included walking the British Jurassic Coastline, a virtual cycling dubbed 'Tour de Stonegate' and by individual pubs organising their own events.
Stonegate Group, which is the UK's largest pub company, announced a fundraising partnership with the MND Association and MND Scotland in 2022. The partnership runs across the whole Stonegate estate, including its pubs, bars, venues and head office support teams.
David McDowell CEO of Stonegate said:
“We are proud of our teams across the Stonegate estate for their outstanding effort in raising £250,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, with 10k going to MND Scotland. This achievement is testament to their dedication and commitment in making a positive impact on our communities.”
Ian Gardner, Head of Development at the MND Association said:
“We are absolutely thrilled the Stonegate Group have topped an incredible £250,000 to support the work of the MND Association. Alongside my colleagues, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting numerous Stonegate team members who have blown me away with their creative ideas and dedication to maximising their fundraising to support the MND community. There are around 5000 people in the UK at any one time who are living with MND, and Stonegate’s support is invaluable to helping us support them while facing this devastating disease.”
