Welcome to the Black Country Group

The Black Country Group of the Motor Neurone Disease Association supports those living with MND, their families and carers across the Black Country boroughs of Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and Wolverhampton.

We are a volunteer led group who provide a warm welcome and friendship to offer information, advice and support. We also campaign for improved local services for people with MND and fundraise for essential money to provide local support and to fund research into finding treatments and a cure for MND.

The MND Association’s monthly support meetings are held every month at the Mary Stevens Hospice near Stourbridge from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, on the 2nd Monday of the month. Remaining dates for 2026:

9th March; 13th April; 11th May; 8th June; 13th July; 10th August; 14th September; 12th October; 9th November; 14th December

We warmly welcome all people living with MND, their carers and families to join us at these meetings. They are very informal and enable you to meet others living with MND in a relaxed and friendly setting and to share experiences over a cup of tea or coffee.

NEW! Chrissie's Club - MND Support Group, will be held at Darkhouse Baptist Church Hall, Darkhouse Lane, Bilston, WV14 8XH. This will begin in February and all are welcome, refreshments and friendly chat will be provided. They will take place on the 4th Monday of every month, 2pm-4pm. Upcoming dates for 2026:

23rd February; 23rd March; 27th April

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with MND for some time, and whether you decide to pop along for 10 minutes or stay and chat for the whole two hours, you will be very welcome at either meeting, or both!

If you would like to come along or would like to find out more about the group's activities and how you can help or just want some further information, then please don’t hesitate to contact:
