Jo Mountney
Jo joined the MND Association in January 2024 after more than two decades at the Merlin Entertainments Group.
Having held various roles during her tenure, Jo’s most recent role - Divisional HR Operations Director – saw her working across the Resort Theme Park division, driving standards and consistency across the six Theme Park Resorts. The work included increasing the diversity of the teams and driving positive change in employee engagement. Jo spent most of her time at the Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire where she won a National Training Award, led various organisational design projects and delivered the end-to-end people strategy across the Resort.
In addition to Jo’s skills and experiences in a professional capacity, Jo and her family are familiar with the devastating nature of MND after Jo’s father-in-law was diagnosed with the disease in 2018. He sadly died just two years later.
Jo has taken part in various fundraising challenges for the MND Association in her father-in-law’s memory. She completed the Association’s Run 21 challenge in June 2021, and most recently the 75-mile dog walking challenge with her dog Poppy in the Autumn of 2023.
As Director of People, Culture and Inclusion, Jo has responsibility for the Association’s volunteering, inclusion, learning and development and human resources functions.
