These are the terms and conditions (the “terms”) governing your participation in the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association events (the “Event”). If you are registering on behalf of another individual, it is your responsibility to ensure the person participating is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration on behalf of another individual you are warranting that you have made them aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.
1. Registration Confirmation
1.1. Email confirmation. Once you have completed your registration, you will receive your registration confirmation and subsequent communications by email to the email address provided at registration. Please ensure that your valid email is entered correctly on the registration form. To ensure you receive event emails from us, please add [email protected] or [email protected] to your e-mail ‘safe senders’ list. Be sure to check your junk email box too in case any of your Event email(s) are caught by spam filters.
2. Event Content
2.1. You acknowledge and agree that the MND Association in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue, and time. As speakers are confirmed months before the Event, some speaker changes or topic changes may occur in the program. The MND Association is not responsible for speaker changes but will work to ensure a comparable speaker is located to participate in the programme. Event content may be recorded by the MND Association and will be accessible to registered both in-person and online participants for at least three months after the event.
3. Prohibited Conduct and Quality Assurance
3.1. Limitations on Use. By registering to attend the Event, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share your complimentary access link and/or code, unless such transfer is granted by the MND Association.
3.2. Disruptive Conduct. You acknowledge and agree that the MND Association reserves the right to remove you from the Event if the MND Association, in its sole discretion, determines that your participation or behaviour create a disruption or hinder the Event or the enjoyment of the Event content by other attendees.
3.3. Recording, Live Streaming, and Videotaping. Participants are requested to not record or broadcast audio or video of sessions at the MND Association Events.
3.4. Unethical/Non-Compliant Business Practices. The MND Association reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who engages in or is reputed to engage in unethical or non-compliant business practices.
3.5. Excluding Participants. In addition to the requirements and prohibitions set forth in this Section 3, the MND Association may also exclude any prospective participant from registering for or participating in any hybrid Event, at its discretion.
3.6. Submitting Questions. There will be the opportunity for both in-person and online delegates to ask questions to speakers and presenters throughout the Event. While speakers and presenters will do their best to answer as many questions as possible, we anticipate there will not be time for them to answer all the questions asked.
3.7. Complaints. The MND Association strives to provide you with the most productive and effective educational experience possible. We will evaluate individual complaints in a context of collective comments from the Event.
4. Invoices and Payment
Payment for events will either be electronic at the time of registration or by invoice depending on the event.
4.1 On-line Payment. The payment of the applicable fee for the Event is due upon registration. If such payment is insufficient or declined for any reason the MND Association may refuse to allow you to access the Event and shall have no liability in that regard. If required, a receipt will be sent once payment has been cleared.
4.2 Invoice Payment. If payment by invoice is an option for a specific event, we will issue an invoice for the cost of your attendance and full payment will be due within 14 days of the date of the invoice or by the date of the event at the latest. Please be aware that the MND Association may refuse you to attend the event if payment is not received before the event.
5. Delegate Cancellation - Online events
5.1. Delegate cancellations must be received 10 working days before the start of the event and will be refunded (where a payment has been made), minus a 25% administration fee. The cancellation and any request for a refund must be receiving in writing and sent to [email protected] or [email protected].
5.2. No requests for refunds will be processed after this deadline.
5.3. Refunds will not be given if the delegate only attends part of the event.

6.4. Where we have booked equipment, accommodation, or catering on your behalf as part of the event, the refund of these costs will be subject to the venue’s terms and conditions and a refund may not be automatically applied. We will confirm these terms at the point of cancellation.
7. Substitutions
7.1. Places can be substituted in agreement with the Association up to 2 days before an event, at no additional charge.
8. Motor Neurone Disease Association event changes and cancellation
