The Association’s 38th Annual General Meeting
On Saturday 1 July, the Association hosted it's 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The results of our trustee elections was announced and the Board are delighted to announce that Hazel Carter is joining the Board with immediately effect.
The AGM was also a chance for members attending the event to hear updates from our Chief Executive, Tanya Curry, Chair of the Board of Trustees, Dr Usman Khan, and Honorary Treasurer, Jim Marshall.
At the AGM we also said thank you to two trustees Siobhán Rooney and Katy Styles for their contributions to the Board, who have now come to the end of their terms.
For the first time in several years, the Association found itself in the enviable position of having far more people putting themselves forward to join our team than we had vacancies on the Board. We believe this is a real demonstration of awareness of motor neurone disease and also an endorsement of our work as an Association. The Chair, the Board and Directors Team of the MND Association would like to thank everyone who showed an interest in joining our Board of Trustees.
For members who were unable to attend the AGM, you can watch a recording of the event below.
