Do you have good listening skills? Are you a good communicator? Would you like to offer direct support to people affected by motor neurone disease? Then you could become an Association Visitor!

Association Visitors (AVs) perform a vital role in supporting people affected by motor neurone disease – both those with the disease and those close to them. They offer emotional support and give information about the Association and other services to help people make informed choices.

All our Visitors are volunteers who have undergone a thorough training programme. They are based in the local community as members of a team and usually have contact with people over the phone, via e-mail or will visit them in their own home.

Check out our FAQs about the Association Visitor role.

It’s so comforting to know the Visitor is always at the end of a line to give support, advice, encouragement and friendship at this time when we need it the most.
