Can you help us ensure no one faces MND alone?
As the Association strives towards a world free of MND, we want to maintain a welcoming and inclusive community. MND does not discriminate, and neither do we. That's why we are actively working to take steps towards a future in which no one faces MND alone.
We want to hear from you, our wonderful community of diverse and powerful voices, to better understand what we as an Association and a community of MND fighters and supporters can do to work towards achieving this promise.

Ideas to get you started
Connect, discuss, explore
Light touch: Speak to family and friends about their thoughts on inclusivity.
Our family and friends are an easy-to-reach resource and quite often provide some of the most honest feedback available to us. Why not try starting a conversation around inclusivity and what this means to them? They may have lived experiences from their places of work, school, or their own network of friends. Inspiration can come in many shapes and forms from places you may not expect.
More involved: Connect with someone from a different culture in your area.
This can be as simple as striking up a conversation whilst waiting in a queue at the supermarket. You may be surprised by how open people can be to creating new connections. Try to use L.A.W to help guide the conversation.
Listen. Actively listen to what they are saying.
Ask. Don't be shy! Ask questions about what they are sharing.
Wait. This is an important one, wait for your turn to speak. There will be natural breaks in the conversation for you to share your story.

Promise five workshop series
We recently held a series of online workshops discussing important topics as part of Promise five: No one faces MND alone.
There were three workshops in total, held in January, February and April with each session inviting participants to share their experiences, thoughts and suggestions for improvement in response to an open question.
We have put together a review and reflection of these sessions and look forward to launching more opportunities to come together in this way.
Thank you to all those who attended. We have taken away some key items from each session, and will be discussing actions and next steps with the appropriate teams. As items progress and updates become available, we will be sure to let you know.
