Last night’s National Television Awards shone a spotlight on MND after the documentary Rob Burrow: My Year with MND was shortlisted in the Authored Documentary category.
MND Association patron Rob Burrow MBE, his wife Lindsey and children Macy and Maya travelled to London’s O2 arena and experienced the awards live in the audience alongside some of the biggest names in television.
The fierce competition in the inaugural Authored Documentary category saw Kate Garraway: Finding Derek take home the award.
There was a huge outpouring of support across social media for Rob and his family leading up to the announcement and although the documentary didn’t emerge victorious, the awareness raised of MND and the work of the Association is award-winning in our eyes.
