A series of blogs, designed to break down motor neurone disease (MND) research into easy to understand chunks, has launched today on the MND Association’s research blog.
Developed alongside a group of people affected by MND, Back to Basics aims to provide a strong base of knowledge about many aspects of MND research. It is hoped this will be useful and understandable for anyone in the MND community.
This new series of blog posts, which include videos and creative graphics, forms part of the MND Association’s ongoing commitment to make MND research news accessible to all.

These blogs I feel are very important to explain research in an easy to understand way. I also think this plays an enormous part in giving us sufferers hope that there is progress towards finding a cure, which can give people the strength to fight.
The blog series comes shortly after the release of Countdown to a cure , which provides an overview of the innovative research the MND Association is funding, the increased collaboration across MND research, and a look at new and improved ways of carrying out clinical trials. The resource, available in both an extended and quick read format, also demonstrates how partnerships play a crucial role in our research programme.
