We want to hear from you in our new MND Carers survey
14 May 2024 News
The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association has today (May 14) launched a new survey to understand better the financial impact of caring for someone with MND.
A 2022 report by the MND Association found over half (52%) of MND carers said they spend over 75 hours a week providing unpaid support to their loved ones.
“Every day is a gift and a struggle in equal measure."
85% of carers surveyed said they felt tired while 51% told us they experienced depression. The impact of the cost-of-living crisis has only worsened the hardship carers are facing and the benefits received are failing to cover these costs.
Our new survey, aimed at MND carers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, hopes to capture the current perspectives, experiences and insights into the financial impact of caring.
There is a General Election this year, and your responses will allow us to show the future government the impact caring has on people affected by MND.
Findings from the study will be available in the coming months and will shape our policy and direction going forward.

The survey has now closed, thank you for taking part.
