    Barry's Skydive for MND

Barry Leonard and some colleagues will be undertaking a skydive for one of their friends, Dave Plant from Walsall, who is living with Motor Neurone Disease. Originally due to take place last October it had to be postponed due to inclement weather and again in November.

Subject to favourable weather conditions, the event has now been re-scheduled for Saturday 05th April at 12 noon

Location: Skydive Tilstock Freefall Club, Tilstock Airfield, Whitchurch, SY13 2HA

The money raised will be split between the local Black Country Group MNDA, who provide support grants for equipment and other things needed for those living with MND in the area and to MND National Office, which funds research into possible treatments and ultimately a cure.

Welcome to the Black Country Group

The Black Country Group of the Motor Neurone Disease Association supports those living with MND, their families and carers across the Black Country boroughs of Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and Wolverhampton.

We are a volunteer led group who provide a warm welcome and friendship to offer information, advice and support. We also campaign for improved local services for people with MND and fundraise for essential money to provide local support and to fund research into finding treatments and a cure for MND.

The MND Association’s monthly support meetings are held every month at the Mary Stevens Hospice near Stourbridge from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. We are pleased to announce further meetings beginning in June and July to be held at Bloxwich Golf Club, Bloxwich, Walsall also from 2.00pm to 4.00pm for those on the northern side of the Black Country.

We warmly welcome all people living with MND, their carers and families to join us at these meetings. They are very informal and enable you to meet others living with MND in a relaxed and friendly setting and to share experiences over a cup of tea or coffee.

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with MND for some time, and whether you decide to pop along for 10 minutes or stay and chat for the whole two hours, you will be very welcome

If you would like to come along, or just want some further information, then don’t hesitate to contact:
