A variety of groups have been established in the Association, where volunteers come together to focus on particular areas of our work, depending on their skills, experience, interests and the resources they have available. A group may act independently, or as a satellite group to a branch.
Whatever the group’s main purpose, it is important to have a clear understanding of how we work together. This is why we have the Group Agreement for Working Together.
The Group Agreement is a signed agreement between those volunteers involved in the running of the group and the wider Association. It sets out the objectives of the group and also outlines mutual expectations: what we expect from volunteers and the support, guidance and resources volunteers can expect from us.
Your Area Support Coordinator (ASC) will introduce you to the details of the Agreement. Copies are then printed for signing. This is best carried out at a group meeting where the content can be shared and discussed with everyone, to ensure a common understanding.
